Day +107
Nick continues to amaze all. He is doing very well. No issues. His lab work is all looking great. We take him down to Cincinatti every two weeks for IVIG and a check up. He will be tested in late July or early August to check the levels of his immune system. This test will determine if he can start back to school in the fall with the rest of his class. Normally it takes a year before the immune system returns so Nick is really hoping the test goes well.
Sandy's sister Lori has started her treatment for her battle with a cancerous brain tumor. She and her family could really use our prayer throughout her journey. You can keep up to date by visiting her website.

I got an opportunity to share some thoughts with her about what I have learned since Nick was diagnosed. I wanted to share these thoughts with you also. There are some items on my list that we could all incorperate into our daily lives. We would all lead a much better life.
Things I have learned from having a family member with cancer
1) How much people care - Everybody is so caring and willing to help. It makes you feel real good.
2) That you can't judge people by how they look - When you look different yourself, you quickly learn what it is like to be judged by your appearance.
3) You can overcome anything that you put your mind to - At first, you don't think you will be able to get thru it, but you can.
4) How powerful you really are - When everything seems hopeless, you will find your power. It is an awesome sight to witness.
5) A lot more about loving, and being loved - You realize how important your family and friends are. You will never take their love for granted again.
6) Not to sweat the small stuff - The little things just aren't that important anymore. You will learn to tell the difference.
7) Don't judge your progress by how you feel today - Each day is a gift, no matter how bad today is, greet each new day as a fresh start. You will feel better tomorrow.
8) Each person responds differently to treatment - This is one time that history can't tell the story. Each person is unique. Just because things did or didn't work for someone else doesn't mean it will happen to you.
9) Trust in God - Know that there is a plan for you and your family. Hundreds of millions of his followers can't be wrong. Some will call it a plan, some will say it's a miracle, but the day the doctors tell you you are cancer free, you will know why.
And Finally.......
10) Faith sees the invisable, believes the incredible, and receives the impossible...... NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!!
