Day +5
Another boring day. I don't want to jinx us, but I think we may have a little streak going. Today was the first time since we checked in, that he has not been on any machines. No IV's, No medicines, No Alarms. He got a 4 hours break from all that today. They are just now hooking him back up.
His counts are all still 0 but it takes time for everything to build back up. It may take up to 3 weeks before we see any movement in counts.
He still has not eaten, but he says he feels okay. They started him on nutrition a few days ago since he stopped eating. The last day he ate anything of was last Monday the 16th. So we are looking at 12 days with no food or drink. I got him to drink a small Dixie cup of Sprite today. I think we measured it at 3oz.
The past few days he has received a few special surprises that he thought was pretty cool.
Yesterday he got a visit from a member of the FBI. While he couldn't visit, he dropped off some items from the FBI and offered Sandy any support she needed while she was here. (He is a friend of the Rosler's.)
A few days back, Kieth and Kristy Pegg sent Nick an autographed baseball from California. It was autographed by Matt Holiday. There was also a note written to Nick.
And of course, there are the daily things that each of you do to support Nick and the rest of my family. Thanks again.
Talk to you all tomorrow!!!!
