Day +3

Hi Everyone!

Day +3 was basically a repeat of yesterday. No oxygen, no fever, no rash, no pain. Nick watched 2 movies and did physical therapy today and that is aboout it. I am so thankful that he is so strong. There are so many kids here that are struggling. I had dinner tonight with an 11 year old girl over at Ronald McDonald house that has had just about every major organ transplanted and now she is waiting on a kidney. She has lived at the Ronald McDonald House for 3 years.  She told me that she has recycled organs! LOL Anyhow, she talked and talked and had such a positive attitude even though her whole life has been one medical crisis after another. She is in a wheel chair because she has been so sick for so  long that her legs do not work the way they used to. It was a pleaseure to sit and talk to her. What a wonderful little girl! I am telling you that this place makes you look at life differently.
God is good!

Dear Nick, and Family; Tonight is cookie baking night at my house. It made me think of all of you, since there has been so much talk of Nick's appetite for cupcakes and cookies. So. while the next batch bakes, I thought I would share with you the joy that each of your good days brings to my heart. It is wonderful to hear that you have had another good day! I, like so many others, continue to lift all of you up to the Lord for His blessings. Our God is an Awesome God, and He is answering our prayers through all those wonderful doctors, nurses, and therapists. It is great to hear of each step to your full recovery. I will continue to thank the Lord for His faithfulness, and will continue to pray for all of you, as well all those involved in Nick's care. You'll never be the same. Hard times change us, turning coal into diamonds when we let them. So glad to hear that Nick had a fairly uneventful day. No O2, fever, rash, pain. That's really amazing! Hopefully you can take on the gal from OT pretty soon in that corn toss game. Guess we'll see. Oh and Nick - don't be too discouraged if you don't beat her - I'm tellin' ya... :) :) :) Make sure she doesn't go easy on ya, either!
