Day +304

Happy Birthday Jesus, and to each of you Merry Christmas/Happy New Year!!!!

Last year at this time, we blew through the holiday season knowing that 2008 may be the last Christmas our son would ever experience. Would knew that 2009 would be a tough year. A year filled with many emotions, a lot of sleepness nights, a year filled with our family being seperated by many miles, and finally a year filled with a lot of unknowns.

We were told by many of you, our family, and our church family, to focus on getting Nick healthy and let you carry the rest of the load. We can't thank you all enough for everything you did for us this year. I thank the Lord every day for all the blessings our family has received this year. Today, I want to thank you for everything you did for our family this year.

As we all sit around the tree tomorrow morning, I can promise you, there is not present in the world that can beat the presents that I received this year. In fact, I got so many presents this year, I lost count. Here are just a few:

I saw a miracle happen this year.
I saw what faith can do.
I know people really do care.
I know what people are willing to do for family and friends.
I know what is really important.
I know what true love really is.
I know what the value of family means.

Finally, as I look across the room tomorrow, I will see all three of my kids, my beautiful wife, and know that 2010 will be a great year. I learned so much this year. And now for my best present, in 2010, we will all be together, and Nick is cancer free. What can be better than that?

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

ps. I will blog his medical stuff after the first of the year. More great stuff to come, so stay tuned.

Dear Dan, Sandy, Nick, and Family; I am so very thrilled to read of the progress Nick is making, and of the answers to prayer. I thought you might like to know that someone is still out here , still reading this blog regularly, and still praying for God's continued healing and blessings for Nick, and for the rest of you, as well. I know that there were several other issues, and I wanted to say that I continue to lift each of you up in prayer daily. I look foreward to the updates, and am joining you all in singing praises to our God, and saying prayers of thanksgiving! I wish you all bright, sunny days, and nights filled with deep and peaceful sleep that leads to more strength, more healing, and a complete recovery from every illness! My love in Christ, ~Annette

Dear Dan, Sandy, Nick, and Family; I am hoping that no news is truly good news, and that Nick is on the mend, and on the way home from Children's Hospital! I have continued in my vitilance to remember each of you in prayers, and am continuing to remember Lori, as well. I know hospitals are no fun to hang out in, and sometimes get us down. I just wanted to say that I truly believe that there is a divine reason for all things, and that all we be understood in God's timing. May this evening bring you all rest, peace, refreshment, and closer to complete health! Prayerfully, ~Annette

Dear Collins Family; Having seen no new blog entries in the past many months, and I am just sending my most sincere wishes for a wonderful spring, and a summer filled with fun, friends, faith, and family; and of course, continued blessings for Nick of complete health. I wanted you to know that someone is still out here lifting all of you up in prayer...and praising the Lord for His blessings! Have a bright and beautiful day, followed by many more! Love in Christ, ~Annette

Dear Dan, Sandy, Nick, and Family; It is now a few weeks to summer, and I am wondering how Nick is progressing. I continue to lift each of you up in prayer, and wanted you to know that you are never far from my thoughts. I trust that the Lord has blessed Nick with complete healing from the CML, and that the rest of you are happy and healthy as well. I just wanted to send you all a quick hello, and a reminder that someone is still out here praying for you. Wishing you a bright and beautiful day, and many more to come! In Christian Love,~Annette

Here's to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes... the ones who see things differently -- they're not fond of rules... You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can't do is ignore them because they change things... they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.
